After an extensive search, the META Solutions Board of Directors has asked James “Jim” Sotlar to be its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Mr. Sotlar has been serving as superintendent for the Canal Winchester Local School District for the past ten years. The selection is the result of a national search conducted with the assistance of the ESC of Central Ohio.
Board of Directors President Rebecca Jenkins said the board is pleased to announce Mr. Sotlar as the agency’s next CEO. “The Board listened to the input from our stakeholders. Jim fits the profile of what staff, clients, and board members were looking for in our next leader and will bring extensive experience and skills that will move META Solutions forward.”
Prior to serving as superintendent in Canal Winchester, Mr. Sotlar served the Pickerington Local School District for over a decade as interim superintendent, assistant superintendent, and school principal. He also has experience in several other Central Ohio school districts including the Olentangy Local School District, Dublin City School District and Hamilton Local School District. Mr. Sotlar has a Bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University and a Master’s in Education Administration from Ashland University.

The Board of Directors anticipates an August 1 start date.
